Hector Laureano, of Chicopee, was indicted on one count of assaulting with a dangerous weapon a person assisting an officer or employee of the United States in the performance of official duties; one count of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence; and one count of robbery of money of the United States, the US Attorney General for Massachusetts said on Monday, Dec. 4.

Authorities said Laureano on May 4 attacked the confidential informant, who was working on behalf of federal agents, with a .380 pistol and stole $1,400 that had been given to him by investigators, the prosecutor said.
